Can anyone tell me how to use "fruit" and "fruits" as countable and uncountable nouns? When do we use "fruit" and "fruits"? Could you please clarify it by some examples?
I don't eat much fruit, but I do eat a lot of vegetables.
It can be countable when it means 'types of fruit', and it normally is when it means 'the good results':
Marmalade is made from citrus fruit(s).
I am now enjoying in my retirement the fruits of years of hard work
