    Got to do with stress?

The word 'other' in its phonetic form is ˈʌər but the vowel ʌ does not seem to sound like its usual form. Is it got to do with the stress?

Re: Got to do with stress?

It sounds normal to me. Stress doesn't affect it (to any perceptible extent)
