    Hang around

    Dear all

    In the sentence below, it means those people will hang around for long if he left or it means they will not stay long once he take off? thank you

    "Few of those he has hired to take the firm into new businesses and regions would hang around for long if he left"

    Not many would stay long; i.e., most would soon leave.
