    Default Being unable

    1. Unable to land a decent job, he started writing a novel at home.

    2. Being unable to land a decent job, he started writing a novel at home.

    Which one is correct?

And also, what is the grammatical term for starting a sentence with an adjective or an adverb?

    Thank you.
