    Default Hi

please help me correct this sentence:

Of course, conferences are not just about the food provided. Especially when the conference planners take the time to recruit unique and well-known speakers. This can make an average conference quite rewarding, well worth the missed work to attend.

    NOT A TEACHER

    (1) Welcome to usingenglish.com.

    (2) Whenever you have any questions about English, you can find teachers

(and non-teachers) who will be delighted to help you.

    (3) Since you are a new member, may I most respectfully and gently remind

you that some teachers ask that you not ask them to do your homework. They

ask that you present your answers, and then they will check them.

    (4) Since you probably did not know about this rule, I think that the teachers will

let me answer your question without getting angry with me.

    (5) I think that your paragraph is dealing with two matters: a so-called sentence

fragment and the improper use of the comma.

    (6) I think (remember: this is only my opinion. If a teacher has another answer,

you must accept the teacher's answer) that your teacher would be happy if you

    rewrote it as:

Of course, conferences are not just about the food provided, especially when

the conference planners take the time to recruit unique and well-known speakers.

This can make an average conference quite rewarding and well worth the missed

    work to attend.
