    Which are correct:

    1-I went on top of the table.
    2-I went on the top of the table.

    3-I went on top of the hill.
    4-I went on the top of the hill.

    5-I climbed on top of the hill.
    6-I climbed on the top of the hill.

    1-I went on top of the table.
    2-I went on the top of the table.

    3-I went on top of the hill.
    4-I went on the top of the hill.

    5-I climbed on top of the hill. OK
    6-I climbed on the top of the hill.

    Actually, none of them is very natural.

    1/2. I climbed/got on to (/onto) the table.
    3/4/5/6/ I climbed/went to the top of the hill.
