Hi,

Here is a short paragraph from my textbook:

Students choosing this major also have many interesting study abroad opportunities which they are expected to participate in for a summer, a semester or even a year.

I am wondering if the sentence is idiomatic?

Thanks a lot

I agree with Tdol that the sentence would be better with the words in a different order. However, if the words stay in the original order I would put "study abroad" in quotes or italics to make it clear that it's a known phrase.

She's on a "study abroad" program.
