    When you take something out, you remove it, for better or worse..
    - This product takes some of the drudgery out of housework.
    - This change takes the all the fun out of the event.

    The back-and-forth means multiple rounds of discussions, I guess. There isn't a lot of back-and-forth about meals in my house. "Hey, we're having chicken tonight." "Sounds great!" -- That's about how it goes.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
