To commit sb/oneself (to sth/to doing sth) - make it impossible for sb/oneself not to do sth. Ex.: He has committed himself to support his brother's children.
Wouln't it be to supporting?

I agree with you, particularly since their own first section says "to commit oneself to doing sth".
