    Default follow through

What does "follow through" mean in the following context?

Practice intimacy, share your stories, and move quickly to follow through on the potential of a genius relationship.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.
    Develop it, nurture it.

In the song My heart belongs to Daddy Marilyn Monroe used this punningly, referring to golf (where the 'follow through' is what you do with the club after it's hit the ball):

...When I do [have a round of golf]
    I don't follow through,
'Cause my heart belongs to Daddy.
