Moore should be used to prizes by now. His 2002 Bowling for Columbine earned $58 million worldwide and an Oscar nod that Moore turned into a decisive media event when, in his acceptance speech, he scolded the President for invading Iraq. WELCOME TO THE FORUMS, ducanchina!

To be primed for something means to be prepared for it or to be ready for it.

One can frequently hear people in the US saying, "He was primed and ready to go!" Meaning he's been eagerly waiting and anticipating going to that particular place.

In your example, the people were primed for another big hit because they liked Moore's previous movies. They were ready to see another one!

    I hope this helps!
