Default some questions about pronunciations and others

    How should I read words like Alice's, George's, Charles's ?
And another one---why it is Charles's instead of Charles' ?
When a word ends with an "s", and I want to use it in the possessive form, how should I change it? Should I add 's or just ' ?

Either usage is acceptable. I prefer to use apostrophe s. Look here. Possessive Form of Singular Nouns Ending with S - Writing - English Rules
