    Default Esquire

I understand that the term 'Esq(uire)' is an
honorific for a man. Could it be used for
    a woman also?
    1. Robert Pritchard, Esq. (OK)
    2. Anne Pritchard, Esq. (OK???)
    Thank you.

I believe it can be used for both in letter in AE, but in BrE, it was only used for men, and is very rare nowadays.
