    1. And swim to yonder poin?' Upon the world
    2. Accountered as i was, i plunged in.
    3. In awe of such things as myself.
    are any of this metaphors or similes????

    I would say "such things as myself" contains a simple form of simile.

    Actually, fivejedjon, you were perfectly correct as well. You returned to the actual text, where there were none, rather than examining more closely the OP's short list of hastily typed snippets. My instinct was to do the same thing.
