All of these are possible:

1. To study English will be better for you than to play football.
2. To study English will be better for you than playing football
3. Studying English English will be better for you than to play football
4. Studying English will be better for you than playing football.
5. It will be better for you to study English than to play football
.

#1 and #2 are not very natural today. We tend not to use the to-infinitive as a subject, preferring instead to use a gerund, or an alternative construction such as #5.

#3 sounds very unnatural.

#4 is fine. With #5, it is the most natural utterance.
