    Default introduce

    Dear teachers,

Do not call someone "stupid" unless you have been properly introduced or a member of a family.

That means "You can call some body 'stupic' when you have been properly introduced or......".

I don't know why on such conditions "you" can call people so.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
    Thank you in advance.

    Jiang

It means that calling a stranger stupid is very different from calling your brother, sister a friend, etc, stupid.

    Dear Tdol,

Thank you very much for your explanation. This is very interesting because I don't think it is polite to call a friend “stupid”unless in a teasing way.

Neither do I, but you couldn't call a stranger it in a teasing way, so it would only be insulting IMO.
