    Is this sentence correct?

    There's a high-strength-to-weight ratio in military personnel.

    Re: Is this sentence correct?

Hi and welcome to Using English.

Delete the hyphen between "high" and "strength."
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

It's grammatically correct with the hyphen gone, but what does it mean?
