    Default evidence countable in AmE?

Would this be accurate information that evidence can be countable?

"They've found many evidences of neglect."

    No.
The investigators have found evidence of neglect.
At this time, our information indicates that the children suffered serious neglect.
We will continue to collect evidence to build our case.
An overwhelming amount of evidence has established guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

I have occasionally heard the plural used in BrE, but it's not common and has not been around long. It sounds strange to me and I wouldn't use it.
