Hello.

"Everyone is welcome regardless of age."

In this sentence, can I replace 'regardless of age' with 'no matter the age'?

If it is possible, do I have to be careful when I use the article 'the' in the sentence?

Thanks.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of [their] age.
Everyone is welcome, no matter what their age.
Everyone is welcome, no matter how old they are.

Thank you for your quick reply.

How about this sentence?

"All archeological material is important no matter the size."

Is this setence not correct grammatically? Or, is it acceptable in American English, since I have found lots of usage with "no matter the + noun" structure?

(1 I most respectfully suggest that your sentence may be an ellipsis of

"All archeological material is important no matter [what] the size [is].

(2) Yes, here in the States, no matter + the + noun is very common:

No matter the question, you will find the answer at usingenglish.com.

(No matter what the question is, you will ....)
