    For disappearing acts

For disappearing acts, it's hard to beat what happens to the eight hours supposedly left after eight of sleep and eight of work.
    (Doug Larson)

I assume that 'for' means 'concerning'.

    Am I right?

    Thanks.

    Re: For disappearing acts

"As an example of" would be a better way to think of about.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Yes, or "considering", or "In relation to"
    Compare:
"For best actor, I nominate Jack Nicholson.
"For disappearing acts, it's hard to beat ..."
