Hi,
1- I was just wondering if :
reed-kellogg could diagram anomalous/ungrammatical sentences, or it was just meant for well-formed sentences?
& what kind of sentences couldn't PSR & Xbar diagram?
2- What is the main difference between "diagramming" a sentence & "drawing a tree" of a sentence?
3- What books/references to read.

Thanks.

Ok, let me further explain,
how to PSR, Xbar or Reed-kellogg:
a minor clause? e.g. Night, night!
a major clause?
a grammatical clause/sentence?
an anomalous sentence?
grammatical element: e.g. Mary be going home.
lexical element: e.g. Mary went home tomorrow.

interjections?
words having no grammar? e.g. nanananana

Good to hear from you.

There are answers to all of those questions, but I am not sure that I will offer them at the moment.

Online I am currently teaching a free course called "Frank's Hum Hundred". Within that course I have just finished an intense but complete version of the American version of morphology, upon which Reed-Kellogg depends. By about the second week of January in my course I will turn to syntax, as Reed-Kellogg presents it. That part of the course will also be intense and complete -- and fun. It should last about two weeks.

I recommend that you check out a few of my most recent videos on Youtube. The channel is mrbisse1.

There you can see how I have laid the groundwork for syntax -- all American style.

Trance Freak,

I should have added that within the part of my course that is already online you will have to go back to ca video 60.1, or thereabouts to be within the morphology. I have finished that part and am now teaching prosody in its place.
