    Default Understanding a sentence

    Hello teachers,

It seems that if you only have sentence 2, you have to insert "who" before being able to claim [that] it had been omitted!

I read this sentence written by one of the VIP member of this forum in a reply to the thread

    http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/as...61275-who.html .

I don't understand what exactly this sentence means.

Please help me understanding it in that context.

Please ask this question in that thread; otherwise people will have to flick back and forward between threads. I know we ask people to start a new thread for a new qustion, but we need the context of the other thread to deal with this question.
