    tag questions

    Hello,

-But you say you didn't want to come with us, did you?

-But you say you didn't want to come with us, don'y you?

I can't know that which one is correct ,or the two are correct. Please could you help me about it?
If it refers to 'you say', we must put 'don't you', am I right?

    Is that incorrect?

    Re: tag questions

Sorry...I wrote wrong. It would be:

-But you say that you didn't want to come with us, did you?

Is that incorrect? Maybe the person who asks the question wants to refer whether the other person wanted to come or not.

    That's incorrect.

    You say... don't you.

The tenses in the original are strange though.

You say you don't, don't you?
You said you didnt, didn't you?
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
