    Talking Re: Verb + s

When you are talking about the third person singular(he,she,it), you have to write the verb in plural form.

    Examples:

    She likes biology.
    He dances a lot.
    It looks ugly.

Same situation with the verb: make

    It makes a big different.

You do not have to use the plural form when you are talking about(I,You,We,They).

    EX.

    They make bread every Sunday.

thanks. Can we use the plural this way

as long as he gets what he wants.

or we shouldn't use the plural with get

as long as he get what he wants.

and can you tell me the reason if we can't

    Welcome all.

All verbs take -s in the present tense, third person singular.

    1st singular: I get,
    2nd singular: you get
3rd singular: she gets, he gets, it gets

    1st plural: We get
    2nd plural: you get
    3rd plural: they get

Yes, you are right. Modal verbs do not take the third person s.
