    Default Are they grammatically correct?

    Dear teachers!
    Someone has written
    - Exercise burns a lot of calories
    - Yoga burns a few calories.
    Are they grammatically correct?

    Thank Ms.bhaisahab!
    I have seen this
    - Some people burn calories (= use food to produce energy) faster than others. (OALD)
As for the meaning of "burn calories", either people or things are the subject of the sentence, aren't they?
