    Post Reading and Writing Skills

    Hi there,
    I want to make IELTS Exam. My problem is writing skills and reading. When I am writing I Write fluently but quality is very poor,I don't know when I use the punctuations, and when I can use certain words like "However, Although"
    in my writing.
    My reading is slow I want to read vey fast and understand what I am reading ,so that I can unswer the questions.I hear some people say when you are reading an article you have to scan and skim. What is scan and skim? and How can I scan and skim a reading?

    If you're scanning, you are looking for specific information in a text. You don't read a timetable,you look for what you need to now.
    If you scan, you read quickly to get a general picture of a text. With newspapers, say, people often read articles quickly to get the gist, rather than try to absorb every detai
