    Until the ocean dried?

    Hi,

It is a future event but I am not if I should use dries or dried in the sentence below,

...so we could run away to the unknown distances, cities and crowds, to all where the land ends, until the day the ocean dried, the sky broken and the world ended.

    and the same problem for,

until the sky breaks or broken

until the world ended or ends.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

    Re: Until the ocean dried?

Have you been taught at some point that the past simple can be used to show the future?

...Whatever you've been taught, I doubt whether any book or teacher gives the simple past of 'break' as 'broken'.
