    Default Catch up the way

    Hello there,
may I use this expression as a substitute to "make an obstacle" when certain conditions can affect something from happening.
For instance, someone has a plan to go somewhere and the weather conditions are about to get worse.
    Q. Are you going to lakes this weekend?
    A. Yes, if the weather won't catch up the way.

Tried to google it but with no luck

    Many thanks

    Darijus

It makes no sense in English.
