    Preposition on, in, about

I just wrote this sentence, "I have a question on/in/about your article."

I would like to know how the meaning changes?

I think on and about is similar, but on is more serious, and in is just "question in that paper", in.

Is that right? or is that just my wrong sense of language(nuance?)?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks for your help

You can use "on" or "about", as you say, they are similar in meaning. That sentence wouldn't work with "in".
