Hello,

I don't understand what "on the clumsy side" mean. my guess is that it means he/she is not able to explain her own version of an past occurrence?

the following is a sample sentence.

"There are differing accounts of what happened that night, but since my sister is not here with us, let me tell you the true story, which is my sister's a little bit on the clumsy side"

"Clumsy" lacking dexterity, nimbleness, or grace
When you're clumsy, you might easily drop things, trip over things, bump into things, etc. I"m very clumsy myself.

Saying that someone "a bit on the clumsy side" is a way of saying they are a bit clumsy. Maybe not totally clumsy, but not very dexterous or athletic. It could be deliberate understatement though, to mean very clumsy indeed.
