    What does this mean?

What does the following sentence mean? "For the purpose of admission, the following qualification has been accepted." Does it mean the admission decision is solely based on the "following qualification"?

    Re: What does this mean?

No, it means that they have accepted the validity of the "qualification" in helping to make a decision about admission. Nothing about "solely" there.

    Re: What does this mean?

The words in themselves do not mean that, but the context may cause them to mean that.
