My teacher asked me to give the correct tense to this sentence:
50 cents (be) _____ how much I owe you.
I'd choose is because I think "50 cents" is an amount of money, so it can't be plural.
Is it right?
Oh, one more thing. Are these words plural?
a. 0.5 meter(s).
b. 1.5 meter(s).
c. one third of the apples is/are green.
d. two third of the apples is/are green.
I'm not sure about a and b. I'd choose is for c and are for d.
I hope you will help me. Thanks a lot!
