    Default Grammar Classification

How would you classify this sentence?

    Drinking is fun.

For example, "The military bombed the hospital." is an active voice and "The hospital was bombed is a passive voice."

    Thank you for your input.

    Default Re: Grammar Classification

It's active- drinking is a gerund and the subject, is a copular (linking) verb and fun an adjective (adjectival complement).
