    Smile we've done it worse

Hi! I don't understand the underlined part in this context below.
Does it mean they've done their performance badly
or they've done their performance anyway?
    Thank you.

(These kids are doing their school play : Robin Hood)
The orchestra struck up with something skippy and the peasants linked hands
and squeezed around me(a tree), while I swished.
Jason trod on my foot and my waving elbow caught Zoe in the eye,
but we've done it worse. We got a polite clap, anyway.

    Re: we've done it worse

'It's not the worst performance we've ever given. There was that time when the scenery collapsed and we all fell about laughing.'
