    Correct / Incorrect icons

    Greetings all!

I have been a member of this forum for only a short while (I'm still a newbie, lol). When explaining why certain sentences are correct or incorrect, I think it would be useful to have an icon for such. I see that the smiley icons here are abundant, and this makes for a very animated forum. But, there aren't many teacher-oriented icons.

    Such as, icons for:
Vulgar language (a caution sign perhaps?)*
    Correct, incorrect usages
a strike-out feature (not an icon, but still aids teachers in doing what they do best)

I hope my ideas will be taken into consideration. I look forward to hearing with others have to say.

    Saludos!

    * I see that there is, in fact, an icon for bad words. But, it doesn't seem very effective. Is this little man holding a sign? The letters are white, and are not easily seen....

    Re: Correct / Incorrect icons

As far as I know, we are limitied to what is available in the editor. People do use the thumbs-up for correct. For incorrect, there is a tradition of using an asterix before the phrase, which is easy to do, though many will not be familiar with the idea. I don't know whether further emoticons can be imported- let's see what the webmaster says.

It sounds like a great idea to me. New emoticons can certainly be imported into the forum. Any examples for the above would be appreciated.

Ok then, how about a "thumbs down" for incorrect?

That's the problem, I guess. I had no idea about that....

I'll think more about examples, Red. Thanks for listening, y'all!

Red: Oh, yes. These seem perfect! I suppose I'll try to remember the "codes", unless they are added to our icon directory...

    Re: Correct / Incorrect icons

Rest assured, they're available to all along with the other smilies.

BTW, feel free to make any other suggestions like that - I like it!
