There is something very specific in that definition which you won't find in a word which just describes any short story. Can you see what the important part of that definition is?
A parable is a story which has a moral or religious message. That differentiates it from a simple short story. Please go back and read the advice I gave in post #4 regarding capital letters and punctuation. You need to get into the habit of using them in written English.
Also, 'narration' as a word does not necessarily mean a story. A story is a narrative. Narration is the telling of a story. You narrate a story, and that action is called narration (as in 2, 3 below). Some people also call a narrative a narration (as in 1), but I prefer to maintain the distinction.
