Is there any difference between these verbs in their using: "to begin and "to start"?

Most of the time, no. However, in certain cases, such as "to start an engine", 'begin' and 'start' are not interchangeable.

Enter begin/start in the Google Custom Search box at the top of the page. You'll find links to lots more answers to this question.

Note that if you had made 'begin/start' your thread title, the forum's software would have picked out Similar Threads for you straight away (see below). As it is, the similar threads are about 'difference', which may or may not be of any use.
