    Default Divide up or break up

    Hi, teachers. I have a one small question.

    During the experiment, the element started to ____________ up.
    a. break b. divide c. explode d. create

    I think the answer is b. But I'm not sure.
    Could you tell me which one is correct answer?

    The only answer that works with "up" is a) "break".
