Imagine that 100,000 people are holding lottery tickets. The chance of your winning is very slight, so the first question, "What would you do if you won the lottery?" is hypothetical; it is unlikely that you will win the lottery. Now imagine that a drawing has been held and that you are one of the 10 finalists. Your chances of winning have increased dramatically and there is a good possibility that you will win; here the question now becomes "What will you do if you win the lottery?"
