This is my first post. Conditional sentences are very confusing to me because of inner meaning of it.could you please tell me the differance between the following two sentences:
What would you do if you won the lottery?and What will you do if you win the lottery?
Imagine that 100,000 people are holding lottery tickets. The chance of your winning is very slight, so the first question, "What would you do if you won the lottery?" is hypothetical; it is unlikely that you will win the lottery. Now imagine that a drawing has been held and that you are one of the 10 finalists. Your chances of winning have increased dramatically and there is a good possibility that you will win; here the question now becomes "What will you do if you win the lottery?"
