[Grammar] After "i thought"

I am writing an email and need you help. Which one is correct:
I thought our status would be available by the end of March, or
I thought our status WILL be available by the endof March.

Welcome to Using English. The first one is correct. If you want to use "will", you will have to change the sentence to present tense by substituting "think" for "thought".
