    suggestive selling techniques

What does "suggestive" mean here? trying to recommend or making any association to another with one thing?

ex)The best way to evaluate people is to watch them work. This isn't practical in the selection process, so the next best method is to use simulation. This is an exercise that demonstrates how well an applicant can perform key job responsibilities and is useful in evaluating applicants with little previous experience in the area. For example, if you are seeking servers who can use suggestive selling techniques effectively, you might give them an assignment to role-play upselling products on your menu. You would provide the applicant with a role description, information about menu items to upsell, and a partnet to role-play the situation....

    Re: suggestive selling techniques

Does suggestive mean saying "Why don't you drink coffee after having muffin?-recommendation" or "If you have coffee, it would be good for your digestion of muffin - implying another"?

In reference to "Suggestive Selling Techniques" the best way is to watch them work.
