    Yes, you are right. I have just found out for myself about the agony column the other day and I still don't have a clue why it's called that. In any case, that's exactly what you said... The Agony column is the UK equivalent of the US' "Dear Marjorie" or our Canadian "Dear Abby". Basically you write in with your personal problems, real or fun ones, and you get a reply with a nice advice.
