Hi teachers,
These instructions are for a listening exercise.
Write down where Ikuko stopped and how she ......
What the students are supposed to write more or less is 'Ikuko stopped by the door of the expensive Tokyo restaurant, looking unsure'.
My question is what I should write in the instructions in order to include 'looking unsure'.

Thanks in advance.

"how she looked" is fine or, if you want to test their comprehension, "how she seemed" or "how we think she felt".

Hi,
Thank you to both of you.
My question is if 'looking' is a present participle how come I can use "how she looked", "how she seemed" or "how we think she felt".

PS emsr2d2 I've replied your post, the one before this one and it seems you didn't see it. Could you have a look please?
