    "Egomania" = irrational self-centered attitude or self-worship (from Word List: Definitions of Mania Words and Obsessions )

    Maybe this will help: The late Steve Jobs was obsessed with his work and creation, and often spent a great deal of time admiring them. How would you guys describe this behavior?

    I might also say that Steve Jobs was immersed in his work and engrossed by his own creations.
