    a cat person

Ted:Hey, random question. How do you feel about cats?
Victoria:Cats. Hated the musical, love the animal.

Why did VIctoria said about musical and animal? What does that mean? Does that mean she is a cat person?

When asked how she felt about cats, she said that she hated "Cats" (the musical) but loved cats (the feline beasts).

Does that mean she is a cat person?
    You could say that

    Re: a cat person

Ted prefaced the question by saying that it was a random question and Victoria answered it in a similar manner.

If you ask a silly question, then you will get a silly answer.

I don't think it's a silly answer. Victoria had no way of knowing whether Ted was talking about the musical or the animal, and answered appropriately.

But it wasn't really a random question. Ted's friends were pointing out to him how little he knew about Victoria. Whether someone prefers dogs or cats is a pretty basic question. If one person likes cats and the other person can't stand them, then there would be a serious conflict if the two ever decided to cohabitate.
