    airing cupboard

    airing cupboard
According to LDCE: BrE a warm cupboard in a house
    where you keep sheets
I wonder what is the American equivalent.
    Thank you.

    Re: airing cupboard

being american, i had to look this up "a warm cupboard where you put newly washed clothes until they are completely dry."

i don't know of any such equivalent. we either have machine dryers, hang our laundry outside or go to a laundromat. maybe they have them up north, i'm not sure.
