Hello, dear teachers! You are always very kind
and you always help me so, please, don't stop now!
:)

If you ask me how I'm doing,
I would say I'm doing just fine.

This is a part of the lyrics of a song. Is this acceptable
in informal English (spoken)? Or, maybe, the lyrics are wrong?

(Not a Teacher)

The second part of that conditional should be future tense, but I wouldn't look to songs for proper English.

You could also use asked in the first line with would.
