Please tell me which of the following is grammatically and semantically correct. Thank you very much.

1. Texting/Text messaging while driving or crossing the street is dangerous.
2. Texting/Text messaging while you are driving or crossing the street is dangerous.

I prefer #1, but I think both are acceptable.

They're both OK. Again, I prefer the first as it's more concise.
