    Default Accountability vs. Responsibility

    Hi everybody!
Could you please explain me the difference between accountability and responsibility?
I'm trying to translate these two words in Italian and it's quite difficult because the Italian for both of them seems to be *responsabilità*. There must be a difference...
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

    Default Re: Accountability vs. Responsibility

An example- a teacher has a responsibility for the children in their classroom, but if things go wrong, they will be held accountable by other people- courts/parents/professional bodies.
