    Default ended alley

    Hello there!
What is the name of an alley which is not open from the other side? I guess something like one-way or a closed alley should be used.
    Thanks,

    Thanks,
In AmE you could hear "dead end" for both alleys, streets etc., but "blind alley" would also heard.

A dead end would almost certainly not be one-way

Hello teacher. Thank you. Writing short would cause ambiguity to us, learners. I think the extended form of your sentence is as follows or probably there is misunderstanding.
In AmE you could hear 'dead end' for alleys, streets, etc., and 'blind alley' would also be heard.
    Thank you for your consideration.
